Hey everyone,

I just joined, and I'm wondering if someone could help me out. You see, I just bought a Mac, which comes with I-movie. Is it possible to rip dvd clips using that program, or will I need to download something else. (I've heard of Smart Ripper, but if anyone has any other suggestions [that come Adware-free], I'd be grateful indeed!)

Also, has anyone heard of a Nummy Treat-esque place dedicated to QaF videos? [I'm a crazed Queer as Folk fan, and there never seems to be enough music videos for that show...}

Thank You!

Ooh... I've become quotable. :)

I just wanted to add that the reason I prefer going through BTV is that it allows you to capture just what you need. If I've understood what I've heard from a lot of people talking about ripping software, you have to take up the whole episode/movie and that wastes phenominal amounts of hard drive space.

My XLR8 was about $99 two or three years ago. :)

Have fun!

Waldo.

MactheRipper will let you take sections out of a dvd but I use my ADVC-100 for capturing (I do alot of it) and BTVPro.
