Yesterday, I tried to import video files- avi- into Sony Vegas to start a new project. But when I tried to drag the media onto the timeline, only the audio appeared. I kept trying to access the video part of the file, but all it told me was "media offline." Other files were working, so I figured the ones I had were just corrupted or something, so I deleted them and downloaded new ones. Still nothing:

See that tiny blip on the "voice" track? That's all the program will read. I tried importing other files, and they fared a bit better in that the program would read all of the audio track, but the video still wouldn't appear. Is this a codec issue? Or a program one?

Date: 2011-07-11 09:22 pm (UTC)If you have Nic's FourCC Changer, you may find that the AVI file reads as XVID. You should manually change both tabs to DIVX.
If that doesn't work, try converting your AVIs into WMVs through WMM, perhaps?
Hope this helped some.
