disappearing clip

I have a rather large (completed) timeline in Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 that I have difficulties with. I have it open, but the clips in the timeline aren't from the right episode. I had the vid edited (I'm not crazy, there is a beta render), now the clips have shifted to different episodes.

I tried reimporting, breaking the timeline into smaller pieces, and googling bunches of things, but I'm NOT getting anywhere with it.

Anyone know what's wrong?

It feels like I've restarted hundreds of times. :( Three days of messing with it makes me a dull boy. I'll keep trying until I can't stand it and then I'll try reinstalling it.
