Question about iMovie ~ Zoom/crop ?

Hey all! I am a fairly new vidder (started last December) and have a few vids under my belt. I work off of a mac and use iMovie. I have purchased a few Slick plug ins that gave me some more transitions and titles and such, but I am curious if anyone has experience with iMovie who could tell me how one might zoom in on a scene or crop a scene.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance. :)

Hi,
I´m pretty much a newbie at vidding and I have a (maybe stupid)question concerning how to make transitions that look kinda like a white (or black) flash between clips.How do I create that effect with Premiere? Is it just a very quick cross dissolve? Sorry if that`s been asked before,but I browsed the memories and couldn`t find anything about that kind of transition.Thank you in advance for any help.

I LOVE this movie, and I'm finally getting around to working with it, so it's been an absolutely wonderful day. If you don't know Galaxy Quest, it's a Trek takeoff that really respects fans. Our actors end up in space and become our characters. I'm a massive Professor Snape fan from Harry Potter, and Alan Rickman plays the Nimoy/Spock character. Best, Mary
