Video split

Hi,
I am trying to split a video (~730Mb) using Virtual Dub, but I keep getting AVIs that have sizes of 2Gb+.
Could anyone tell me please what am I doing wrong?

VOB cutter

just wanted to pass along some info on a great little utility program called ChopperXP in case you hadn't heard of it.

It allows you to cut VOB files and the best part is it displays the video so you can mark exactly where you want the clip to start and to end. Of course, it has its' idiosyncrasies (are there ANY vid making programs that don't? - I'd love to, just once, make a vid withOUT any kind of aggravating problem). Sometimes it brings the vob file in as slo-mo but, once cut, the output is fine.
