DGIndex tells me the ripped DVD footage is PAL 25fps and it's interlaced. From what I've heard, the footage was NTSC, telecined and then converted to PAL. I'll probably also add cropping and an AssumeFPS to get it back to NTSC standard, if I choose to burn this for TV viewing (I'm R1) or conventions.
Script used:
mpeg2source("",cpu=0)
AssumeTFF()
Interp=SeparateFields().SelectEven().EEDI2(field=1)
Deinted=TDeint(order=1,field=1,edeint=Interp)
TFM(order=1,mode=6,PP=7,slow=2,Clip2=Deinted)
DeGrainMedian()
RemoveGrain(mode=5)
HQDN3D(ls=6,cs=5,lt=6,ct=5)
aWarpSharp(depth=16,cm=1)
ConvertToRGB32()
Also, for those that may want to legally try Sony Vegas Pro, B&H has Sony Vegas Pro 8 OEM (disc only and does not include the DVD burning software, DVD Architect) for $129.95, not including tax if applicable or shipping. Since B&H is an authorized Sony reseller in NY and there are some comments about v9 possibly releasing soon, you do get a free upgrade within 30days of purchase. This info may or may not be of interest to some since a new, unopened box version with both Vegas Pro 8 and DVD Architect can run between ~$400-$550 from retailers.
