Hello. I've recently bought a laptop with Windows Vista. I've been trying to use the Windows Movie Maker, but I have been unable to get it to make clips of any media I import (it just uses one giant clip) and it only plays the sound and not the video.
The media works fine on windows media player so I don't think the files themselves are the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
In a slightly related manner, although windows media player will play the files, the audio tracking is really sensitive and often gets off track. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks.

Sound -- I had the opposite problem, it would play sound and not the video. Check your codecs, sometimes media player has better ones/less conflicts than MM. Also try going to tools-options-advanced and deselecting anything that ends in ".ax". I don't know if doing either of those will have the same effect they had for me.
Hope these help!
