.VOB files to high-quality .AVI with FlaskMPEG

Hey guys!
I've ripped from dvds for other vidding projects but I can never seem to find the best settings to get me very some high quality .avi's. At the moment I'm working on a Firefly/Serenity vid and I want it to be as stunning as possible.

I've already ripped the dvds with Smartripper. Now I am using FlaskMPEG to convert those files. I have the the newest version of Divx and know I can get some amazing clips if I get the settings right.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me some pointers?
