Seeing it all in order on a large scale, and in jumbled order in the specific sections, really kept me guessing and excited to see what would come next. I think my favorite section was the William one. I've never seen that footage displayed like that before, and I love how you wove together those scenes, and they set up the rest of the vid really well.
Also really enjoyed the doll comparisons in the Dru section, and the impact of the cutting when you get the bathroom scene in the Buffy section, especially intermixed with the motorcycle shots. Oh, and when Buffy picks up her head and looks at Spike from the porch!
Very very nice work. :D

There’s so little William footage I wasn’t sure if I could make it work but that long walk from the rejection to the alley was a gift that just kept on giving. BtVS is such a visual show, it really wants you to vid it.

Date: 2006-01-28 07:27 am (UTC)The "intro" of Buffy was really striking and memorable, as she looks up from the porch, and I liked her unstoppable dancing in the red top set along to "like a summer rose". Felt meaningful, not hokey or a stretch. I liked how it paralleled the earlier bit with Darla earlier as well. So many good bits where the scenes played off each other and/or the lyrics. Really an entertaining and thoughtful vid.
The ending is killer.

I actually hadn't planned to use the OMWF footage but I came to that section thinking about the Dru scene and it suddenly came to mind. Partly the colour but also I do think the way Spike is attracted to and yet quite genuinely wants to save his damaged women is so charactersistic of him.
