I've always used Windows Movie Maker in the past. Clips would stick occasionally, but it was manageable. I brought PowerDirector a few days back and it's almost impossible to actually edit clips because the program refuses to play them through without sticking.
Does this happen to anyone else, and if so how do you work around it?

Date: 2005-12-23 07:44 pm (UTC)I found when I was using PD that it would preview fine for the first 30 seconds or so, then start lagging, so SOMETIMES if I restarted the preview from the point where it started lagging it would play the next 30 seconds properly, but that only worked about 10% of the time.
My advice? Get another program. Using Power Director will just make you want to hurt things.
