When I go to download the small version of this, after I enter the captcha I get a "this vid is not available" message. Could it be a bad link maybe?

Lovely, thank you! And thanks for making these available; I don't comment as I ought, but I'm really enjoying them, the Ruby Tuesday one in particular.

Oh, thank you! :) This comment came at an excellent time, since I've been feeling frustrated lately with my art progress, so it's very good to be reminded that we're much harder on ourselves than other people generally tend to be. :)

And I really enjoyed the Anticipation vid, especially the "these are the good old days" montage at the end. I've always liked that song.

Mother had the ability to draw what she imagined in quick, sure lines. When I had to take practical art classes in the same college building where she had studied, all I could do was muddy approximations in chalk. Recognizing I couldn't create the beauty that made me cry in the darkened auditorium of my French Impressionist class was a hard lesson.

But you have that line. You're blessed whenever you touch pen to paper. That puts you in a very small class of people who have a gift.

Check out my Dr Who Vincent video. It celebrates that gift.

My art has to be my videos. Non-linear editors changed my vidding style so that I could twiddle to my heart's content, as one does when writing with text editors. So maybe I'm still rubbing chalk lines. Hadn't recognized that before. Hmmmm.

I do like Anticipation also. The old songs throw you back into a moment that almost comes to life again. Yet another layer of meaning to weave into the fabric of a video. And do you notice that some fandoms seem to tilt toward one type of songs, while another fandom requires very different songs?

Frustration is a good thing when it has a goal of blowing away the clouds that hide that perfection of skill to which we strive. But you can't let it also shove aside the realization of the gift that already blesses you. And the people you reach with your gift.
It's sort of like saying "please" and "thank you" at the same time. And "joy". That's always there, too, isn't it?

All my best, Mary
