Hi guys,

I am looking either for (current) contact info for imbir, or for a download copy of their vid As Above, So Below for Pan's Labyrinth, which was made as part of festivids a couple of years ago, I think. The LJ journal is basically dead, the DW journal has not been posted to in over 6 months and I left a comment at DW with no reply. The DW entry has a link to vimeo, but the download link is megaupload and therefore very, very dead. I've not managed to d/l from vimeo, I'm guessing because it's a locked vid, also I'm not too keen because streeming vids always are degraded in quality compared to the original avi.

Anybody who has any info that would help me get in contact with the vidder and getting hold of a download version of the vid, please get in touch. I'd be eternally grateful.

I tried to contact Imbir last year to show one of their vids, but never got a response to my direct message or journal comment.

What says the netiquette about this? If I make all reasonable effort to contact the vidder but get no response, can I still show it at a con. Or would that considered bad manners? So far nobody I've asked said no and has indeed been very happy about it, so it feels like a waste of a brilliant vid not to show it on the slim chance that the vidder would not like it to be shown. At it's still up on the LJ journal on vimeo, so it's in the public domain anyway.

I can't speak to netiquette in general on this, but my own feeling is that if the vid is posted publicly (not a locked post), it's fair game for showing at a con or in a classroom.

Thanks for that. That were I'm leaning to as well, but maybe I'll find her with some luck...
