Announcing the beginning of this year's Festivids!

I'm just posting to announce that the fandom nomination period for this year's Festivids has begun!

festivids is a yearly small-fandom giftvid exchange. It's modeled on Yuletide; every vidder signs up with fandoms they request, and fandoms they can offer. The fandoms are all "small" fandoms -- fandoms where there are fewer than 100 vids. Each vidder receives an assignment and makes a giftvid for their recipient. The vids are posted anonymously in January, and after two weeks, the identities of the vidders are revealed. Last year's vids are posted here.

Right now, we've just begun the nomination period, to come up with a list of small fandoms that are eligible this year. Nominations end on September 24, and signups to participate run from October 6 through October 15.
