EFF seeking to help remix artists on YouTube

For those who do not know what the EFF does, they're a non-profit advocacy group that  seeks to preserve rights and freedoms in cyberspace, including fair use, free speech and privacy. More about them here

YouTube's content screening has gotten more aggressive of late, barring a number of remixes with strong fair use claims. Individual creators can be nervous about using YT's protest mechanism. The EFF is looking for remix creators who want help using YT to disseminate their work and are willing to think about asserting fair use: "If Warner Music Group took down your video, ask yourself if your video is (1) noncommercial (i.e., no commercial advertisements or YouTube Partner videos) and (2) includes substantial original material contributed by you (i.e., no verbatim copies of Warner music videos). If so, and you'd like to counternotice but are afraid of getting sued, we'd like to hear from you. We can't promise to take every case, but neither will we stand by and watch semi-automated takedowns trample fair use."

alternative streaming site?

Hi! Question here!

I usualy upload my fanvids to youtube, but as everyone knows they just love to remove my videos or mute them, anyway, i used imeem as an alternative site to upload my videos once youtube mess with them, but now i got this message from imeem when i wanted to upload another vid and it says:

"There are too many video files uploaded to your profile. Maximum number allowed is 24. Or Upgrade to a VIP account."

I don't have the money to upgrade, and i don't wanna make another account and end up with thousand of accounts.

Is there another site to upload fanvids besides imeem or youtube? I know vimeo has this campaign against fanvids and remove each and everyone of them, and with megavideo you can only watch 70 minutes and they you have to way until eternity to be able to watch again.

Any suggestions?

It's clear from the Warner Music experience that YouTube's Content ID tool fails to separate the infringements from the arguable fair uses. And while YouTube offers users the option to dispute a removal (if it's an automated Content ID removal) or send a formal DMCA counter-notice (if it's an official DMCA takedown), many YouTube users, lacking legal help, are afraid to wave a red flag in front of Warner Music's lawyers. That's a toxic combination for amateur video creators on YouTube.

So what can we do?"
