I've been using Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 with Windows XP for ages and for the most part it's been absolutely fine. Then a couple of days ago, I start a new project and try to import video and the program suddenly shuts down. It doesn't freeze, just completely disappears. I figure it's a problem with the video, so I try importing a piece of video that I had previously used without any problems but the same thing happens. I then tried importing audio and that worked fine, but any video makes the program crash.
I then try and open a previous vidding project but it crashes as soon as it opens and it was a project I had no problems with previously.
I search around on google for a bit but I can't find anything that helps. I reinstall the problem but still experience the same program. I download the trial version of Premiere CS3 just to see and the same thing happens again, except this time I can't import audio because it says the file format isn't supported and when I try to import video I get this message: A serious error has occurred and Adobe Premiere Pro needs to shut down.
Again, I've spent time on Google but I haven't found anything that helps so I've come here hoping that someone else has experienced the same problem (and hopefully fixed it) or has some advice.
Thank you.
