The Eternal Questions of Vidding

I have been pondering many an eternal question lately.

1) The eternal question "How do we help the newbies in vidding when they ask questions which, in all honesty, are legitimate, but have been asked so often that the older vidders all want to SPORK SPORK SPORK?"

2) The eternal question "Since software and hardware is always being updated, and copy-protect is always changing, how can we keep ourselves abreast of the latest hacks / cracks / sneak attacks without devoting our entire lives to scouring the backwaters of the techie boards?"

3) The eternal question "I know someone had a post on x-y-z just a few weeks ago but I now have no way of finding it, so is it okay if I just ask the question again? And again? And again?"

4) The eternal question "Would some / most / any of you be interested in powering up a vidding wiki?"

I think the time has come to wikify vidding. If anyone has experience with starting / maintaining a wiki (and damn me if I didn't miss that panel at Escapade), are you interested in helping out? This way, the whole community can keep itself up to date on software and hardware, mac and pc, the basic how-tos of all the major software, advanced tech advice, and all sorts of other bits and bobs in an easily searchable form.
