Okay so I don't suppose anyone here uses Windows Movie Maker at all?
I'm brand new to vid making and, though I've been able to save several projects as movie files, for some reason it's not letting me anymore. It saves to 28% and then just like stops while the "Minutes Remaining" goes up and up and up.
The file I was trying to save was the largest one yet at just over four minutes and was also the first one in which I included a title and credits. But then I opened up some of my smaller projects and the same thing happened, it'd get to 28% and then stop.
This is seriously frustrating me and ANY help/advice/ideas/etc. people could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Date: 2005-04-01 03:03 am (UTC)Here's what I did : Save the file again under a different name, like "part one", and delete all the clips after a specific point. Then open your original file, save it as "part two" and delete all the clips *before* a particular point. Then export both of them as movies, create a new project and import both part one and part two, import your song again and check that it still lines up nicely with your clips, THEN try exporting. Technically, you will only have two clips, and they will be a smaller file size, and that fools WMM into thinking it can actually export with no problems.
That's the thing, though - you're going to lose a bit of quality that way, and possibly mess up your timing a tiny smidge. WMM is a twitchy bitch.
Anyway - that's what worked for me, (before I switched to Premiere, and then oh glory and wonders no more export problems). Good luck!

Ha! So I'm learning =P.

Ooh, I've heard amazing things about Premiere in my years as a vid-watcher but, seeing as I just started vid-making myself, I have yet to actually research it. :: makes mental note to do so soon ::
Anyway, again, thank muchly for the help! ^_^
