I apologize in advance for this. It maybe in the wrong place, but I didn't know where else to go. I don't know how to compress vids so they are not huge for people to DL. I have just this tiny little vid thing and it's 1974kb I mean that is huge for what it is. SO if someone could please give me a hand, I'd appreciate it very much.

1974 kb is under 2 megs, which isn't large at all.

Depends on what codec you're using. Some compress better than others.

Given that I know very little about vidding, and nothing about your setup, I'm afraid I can't be of much help.

For less than a minute, that's a perfectly normal size. Video files are always relatively big; I generally expect vids to be 10-25 MBs. I've seen smaller ones (around 5MB) as .rm files, but I've never made those, so can't offer any advice beyond that.

My vid keeps coming as 44.4MBs or more. I'm using QuickTime, what's the best format? The vids 4.12 minutes long, so is 44.4 a normal size?

I don't use QuickTime, so I'm not the best person to ask on this; there might be a way to get your vids smaller but I wouldn't know it. But from the QuickTime vids I've seen from other people, I'd say that's a fairly normal size. (I'm assuming your vid is 640x480; a 320x240 vid should definitely be smaller.)

Yeah, that's how I made it a 20 MB - by changing the resolution. Thank you, though.
