New vid. :)

This is another collaboration with the lovely and talented mogigraphia. The fandom is Lord of the Rings, the song is Winter by Tori Amos. Format is wmv and it's 6 minutes long and the file is approximately 14 megs.

Summary:

Eowyn and Theoden: "I tell you I'll always want you near. You say things change, my dear."

The more we worked on the vid, the more it really seemed to reflect Eowyn and Theoden in mood and theme, which made me want to work on the vid even more. Nice circle. :)

Eowyn was a character who caught my interest when I first read the books at 14 years old and the movies just deepened the love. :)

The blackout was an artistic choice as it seemed to follow the music -- at least to me :) -- and it offset the final battle. Guess everything can't work for everyone though. :)

I had to do a wallsized mural in artclass in highschool -- I did Eowyn's fight against the Witch King -- and painting each link of the chain mail was almost the end of me. Hung up in the art room for 3, 4 years before they had to rotate it out. :)

I was so looking forward to seeing that scene in the movies and boy, did they do it right. :)

This was quite somber and lovely - I especially liked the way the fairytale lyrics of Winter matched with the images from the Lord of the Rings, which has its own fairytaleish atmosphere.
