First attempt at meta

valoise.livejournal.comIn this vid I've tried several new things: it's one of my first with FCE, first use of LiveType titles, the first too incorporate historical source material, and the first to use fandom itself as a topic. When the Peter Wingfield Fan Club announced the second live vid show they said one of the categories would be Texas. Fine, except there is almost zero source material for Peter in Texas.
So, I started playing around with outside material, found the Thomas Edison footage of Texas longhorn cattle and an old education film on Texas history, and remembered this Lyle Lovett song. What I decided to do was make a vid about the con itself prior to the con.
I'm interested in comments, even if you don't know Peter, about the use of meta in this vid. Sorry about the tricky aspect ration problems in the PAL clip and a few of the photos, like I said, this was one of my first FCE vids and there's a lot to learn.
