Help needed! Sony Vegas Platinum 9

Hi everyone,

I'm a long time vid fan and this is my first post.

I started vidding with Sony Vegas Platinum 9 and it all went well, but then suddenly I couldn't render anything. It doesn't matter which format I use, wmv, mpeg, avi, nothing works. the program freezes randomly, sometimes it simply shuts itself off. I tried updating, I reinstalled, but nothing worked.
The video files are .wmv, the audio file is mp3.

I'd be so grateful, if anyone had an idea.
