After the cut is an NPR Radio Show called "Speaking of Faith" repackaged within a flash player. It is also instantly shareable by embedding and even better can be popped out of this page and listened to in the background while you surf the net. Just click on the menu controls for options. (In the interest of full disclosure it is created from a fanvid site I'm developing). The show's host Krista Tippett interviews Diane Winston who teaches a class on religion and media at USC. Diane will often have people from the world of TV visit her class and speak to her students about the shows she covers in her class. For example, the producer of Battlestar Galactica Ron Moore spoke at one of her classes about Battlestar Galactica. Here is a link to a you tube video of that class. Click here. (It is an excellent overview of the original show and how BSG got back on TV)
This show uses clips from House, Lost, The Wire, and Battlestar Galactica to examine how the themes in the show mirror what is going on in our lives today and why there seems to such an obsession with certain shows like Lost. Also briefly mentioned in one way or another is I Dream of Genie, Bewitched, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Twilight Zone, Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Will and Grace, etc. The theme of the X files is even played in the intro.
