I made a vid about dystopia, violence, resistance and survival.

Source material: 28 Days Later, Children of Men, V for Vendetta.
Song: Rabbit in Your Headlights, UNKLE featuring Thom Yorke.

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face. Forever. George Orwell.

The Future Stops Here.

This is my first try at vidding. I'm excited about how this turned out and would love any feedback, positive or negative.

Summary: epistrofi (greek: επιστροφή): return.
As the Doctor travels on, she's there too. Following the trail, looking for a sign. She's barely visible, a dim star the the dark night's sky. But she's there, between the points in time. She is returning, and she's the only one who can save the world this time.

music: Angelo Badalamenti, from A Very Long Engagement (instrumental)
fandoms: Star Trek, BSG: Razor, Babylon 5, Homicide, due South, The West Wing, Buffy, Lost, Stargate Atlantis, Starsky & Hutch, The X-Files, X2, X-Men: The Last Stand, Primeval, Angel, Doctor Who, and Xena.
notes: A long time ago, Henry Jenkins wrote an article that had a line in it that got deservedly famous in fandom. He said, of Kirk and Spock in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, that slash is what happens when you take away the glass. And even though that article is mostly obsolete nowadays, that line still resonates with me. So I made a vid about it.

The vid, an .avi file that plays in VLC, is 2:30 in length and 44MB in girth. You can download it or stream it at my journal.
