Fandom: X-Files
Song: "Advertising Space" by Robbie Williams (from "Intensive Care")
Character: The Cigarette-Smoking Man, with a fair amount of Krycek, Jeffrey Spender and the Mulders around.
Spoilers: All through seasons 1-7 and 9
Warnings: Just the usual amount of TV killing ;)
Format/size: Either 40 MB Divx avi, or 12 MB wmv

Summary: The life and death of the Cigarette-Smoking Man.

Download from my vid page

Things improved in comparison to older projects: I used freshly ripped, uncompressed DVD source, and a WAV directly generated from CD. Also made a long episode list with marks for important characters and events.

New problem: Getting the large output into a computer-suited, downloadable format. Tried my utmost to get the Multipass function of DivX6.4 to work, but ended always without video output...? (If anyone knows a solution, please tell me!)

Hey all,
Sorry if this had been covered before, but I'm new to this community.
I used to use Adobe Premiere, which was beautiful and wonderful, but I no longer have access to the media lab I used to work in, so I'm stuck with WMM. And for the life of me, I can't figure out how to change the speed of a clip besides doubling or halving the speed using the appropriate effects. Am I missing something, or is WMM just bad?

On that note, are there ANY halfway decent free editors out there?

PDF Pad has downloadable blank storyboards.   I haven't tried them since storyboards aren't how I think of vids but it's free and looks like it could be useful.
