An LJ friend pointed this out to me a few months ago: The WB is signing off forever on Sunday, Sept. 17, by rebroadcasting the pilot episodes of several of its signature series, including "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer," "Felicity" and "Dawson's Creek."
Even more important (to me) is that they plan to fill the final night with
classic promos and image campaigns from the WB's 11-year history. There'll also be a final tribute reel featuring the actors.
Set those DVRs! Probably our only chance to obtain high-quality source of some of these promos.

I was 11 when MTV debuted (or at least when I became aware of it), but I grew up in a cable-less household and have seen almost no music videos. (The only two that I recall with any detail are A-Ha's "Take on Me" and Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love"). It was also rare for me to watch Friday Night Videos, since it actually aired early Saturday morning and I was usually asleep.
So, tell me what I missed. What are the three music videos that I must watch, either because they are classic or because they have influenced / are of interest to vidders? (YouTube links are not necessary).
Thanks!
