I'm using Windows Movie Maker version 5.1 and I'd really appreciate any help anyone can offer. :)
( By the way, hi. I'm new here, and new to vidding in general. )
Apologies for those of you coming late to this game, I should have been cross posting from the beginning. At some time today Luca$film Limited (Vision) has started pulling both music videos and Fan films on Youtube based on some bizzare Voodoo formula because there are things the left that are Obviously still infringing, yet others that were 99.9% original Content have been pulled citiing DMCA (Digital Millenium Copyright Act)
AND YES WE KNEW THIS WAS ALWAYS A POSSIBILITY, but it has been POLICY STATED IN FAN FILM FORUMS: LFL TURNS a blind eye to fan creations with the following Caveats 1. it can't profit ANYONE. 2. It must be PG rated or less in content. 3. It cannot damage The Star Wars BRAND, IMAGE, OR CHARACTERS. The rules changed today without notice.
SO now let's pick up where we left off....
Cross posted from SW_ Fanvids
Ok We're all pissed or at least a little cheesed off. Darth Vidder has Hot Footed it over to TFN (Where they are still Shilling CHAD VADER And STAR WARS THEME Played on a Banjo on Youtube on the FRONT PAGE) and Pm the fan films Manager to ASK WTF? He said (as SGT Schultz would say) I know nothing...NOthing. I asked him to point me to higher authority so we can get some answers. Because its not just the music Vids, it's almost everything. There is no rhyme or reason to what has been left though. One of the threads I came across was talking about the exclusive deal LFL has with ATOM FILMS. ANd If this is the case we will never be able to put vids there because of secondary copyright issues (music). But stay tuned, I will get an answer, we may not like the answer we get, but there will be an answer.
I picture the following in the LFL meeting room
McCallum: These vidders are now the ultimet power in the star wars universe, they are far more creative and dangerous than we are.
Lucas: Dangerous to your TV show, not this franchise.
McCallum: Fan vids will continue to gain support and take a way our momentum inside Fandom until we are motionless.
Lucas: Inside fandom is no longer our concern we already have their money, it's the next generation I fear for. Fear for Jet and his college fund, The DMCA will handle these upstart young vidders we will then fleece them with the next 2 DVD releases, the willcontinue making their vids just not be able to show the anywhere. SO how's the new intern from DISNEY working out?
Intern: I just went and DMCA's all of You tube. Where you want me to go next?
Lucas: You see? The Vidders are extinct, their fire has gone out of the universe, We my friends will be the only ones being seen.......
They all cackle evilly.....
