New BTVS and ATS Fan Vids Community

I was looking over the fan video communities and saw next to none that were devoted to Angel the Series and Buffy tVS, and those are the videos that I do. So I created a community for vidders and viewers. It's moderated. Video makers have to join to post and viewers friend to leave feedback and issue song/video challenges.

So if you create videos for either Angel the Series or Buffy the Vampire Slayer (any pairing, any ATS/BTVS character), come on over, read the rules and join atsbtvs_fanvids :)

PS: The reason all my vids are there is because I started the community.

Size matters. Or does it?

I've created a poll over on my LJ about the aspect ratio issue (using source with different-sized widths). If you're a vidder or a vid fan, I'd love to have your input. Having just finished a Firefly vid draft using the series and the theatrical movie, and not wanting to try to lose composition quality in one or the other (not to mention having a couple vids in my upcoming schedule that will use different aspects), I'm very interested in people's feelings about this.

If you get a moment, drop by and fill it out. Not every answer will match your feelings exactly, but give me a close approximation.

Newbie question

Newbie question:

I tried using WMM to make vids. The problem there is that the frames, once I put them in the timeline, start to freeze or slow down at random.

So I tried Magix video deluxe 2003/2004. There the videofile is fine but when I delete the audio of the video and add my own audio file that audio gets screwed up.
Also, since I installed Magix video deluxe some of the fanvids I downloaded started to freeze at random.

So yeah, any advice?
