First time I heard this song, I truly felt it was about a relationship that was never official, were control was involved, and I discovered I was right when I found out the song was actually written about a teacher/student relationship. I knew I wanted to highlight parts of the Buffy/Giles relationship, and I think that the song was the perfect way to do so. I also tried to limit the effects, and the ones I uses aren't out flat in your face, because I believe that a relationship involves raw feelings, and representing that should involve raw footages.
