Trying to recoded things in VirtualDubMod for a vid and I keep getting this error:
VirtualDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the source AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 6336 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (bitrate: 118.1 + 18.8 kbps)
Which is all well and good, and googling it allowed me to find the fix, but I don't want to fix the audio. The problem is that the vast majority of times it happens, I completely lose the video as well. I can't re-encode. And these are eps that have no problems playing in WMP, not to mention VLC.
I have a feeling this is either going to be something really simple or really hard.
Anyone have any ideas before I go nuts?
