My brain's not functioning at full speed yet, but I wanted to let you know how much I liked this vid. What I liked the best (along with song choice) was that you took the nearly monochromatic scheme of the film and made it really work. All of that black/grey/beige/white and then the gold of the vials was incredibly effective. Another thing that I enjoyed was that you hardly used any of the choreographed fighting in the vid. When I compare this vid to the others I've seen about Equilibrium, it's like I'm watching two different movies.

Anyway, I thought it was really moving--crushingly sad, too. Thanks for putting it up so I can keep it on the hard drive.

Thank you for putting this up. I'd like to have something intelligent to say, but I never can manage that after just watching the vid once. Anyway, this was one of my favorites of the con -- definitely worked as a recruiter vid on me. :)

I've never seen this movie, but I loved the vid. I need to watch it a few more times before I can comment, but it was a standout for me in a show full of beautiful vids. Very memorable and striking!

I have seen the movie, unlike a lot of people I heard talking about this vid, and I was completely prepared for the vid not to work, because I deeply hated the movie. But you managed to do this fantastic thing that vids can do -- you condensed everything that was truly enjoyable about the movie into the vid. I'm going to try and replace my memory of the movie with this vid, because it has everything I need. Sean Bean, Christian Bale looking pretty, and striking visuals.

I'm glad to hear the colour scheme worked for you. It was fun working with the footage to get the maximum visual impact.

Another thing that I enjoyed was that you hardly used any of the choreographed fighting in the vid.

When I started working on the vid, my plan was to use much more of the fighting, but in the end, I found the small character moments far more interesting.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. As for it being a recruiter vid, let me just say that though I have a love for the film and it's got a real visual flair and a great cast, it's not without its flaws.

As for hating the film, I can understand that. I (obviously) have an affection for it myself, but it's certainly got problems. On the other hand, it also has those great visual, Sean Bean and Christian Bale. ;)
