Troublemaker by . Amaar and Nate. IT MAKES ME THE HAPPIEST OF HAPPY times infinity. And, uh, yeah, I had challenged Solvi to a Little Mosque vid duel and I only lasted one round because this vid (in it's early-draft incarnation) whooped my ass so hard I couldn't sit down for months, yo. Basically, for those not in the awesome know about Little Mosque on the Prairie and Nate Shore and Amaar Rashid: they are the Gus and Shawn of the Great White North. :P Everyone should go and watch the vid and the show right now. Also, the jump-cuts in Troublemaker are incredible. And so is their friendship. :D :D :D

East West 101

Zane Malik is a cop working for the Sydney PD and solves crimes and hunts murderers. There's a whole lotta other stuff going on in the show that I can't begin to unravel, particularly since I haven't seen the show yet, (but omg I WILL, omggg) but it looks amazing and I have to rec the vids I've seen for it that are nothing short of captivating.

Home Now by marina, made for Eid al-Fitr fanworks fest this year, featuring some mad tunes by Balkan Beat Box. It's one of those kinds of vids that takes a show's universe and is funneled through the main character to give the viewer an awesome and concise look at the show. I mean, it's impossible to get across the myriad of evocative with very complicated plots in themes that are in a show like this but this a lovely and heartbreaking vid that you have to see. Zane and his family is a lovely thing to see life is not always an easy thing.

In the shadow of light by lithiumdoll. I saw this when she first posted it back in July, a very Zane-focused vid. It's... soul-crushing. Exquisite and absolutely haunting that makes me realize I'm going to curl up into a ball and cry myself to sleep like I did when I was mainlining Sleeper Cell for the first time. LD also has devoted a siginficant part of that post to pimping the show like a professional, so check it out if you want to know more about the show. I've also glanced at marina's episode reviews to kind of prep myself for watching. There are also *ahemmy* places to find the show for download if anyone is interested, I have links, so.. yeah.
