Are any masterpieces created?

?

Hi. I'm looking for VIDDING videos which can be represented as example of excellent work in this genre. Not just good, or very good, ONLY exellent. Something on the level of Engel, Euphoria, Spoil, AMV Hell, Magic Pad etc for AMV community. Link on youtube or direct download will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You've gotten some good suggestions already, but also there's Ecstatic Drum Trip by Luminosity -- can be found under the multiverse category on her site.

Going blank right now on other suggestions -- might be back later!

Very subjected question, and this is a on the spot short-list but IMO each of these vids-my personal favs are wonderful examples of the vidder’s talent and excellence. Technicality with special effects, transitions, clip choices, cuts, visually glorious, with a sharp clear story being told. Each vid is different and for me memorable long after they’re played.

As I don't really keep track of Bam Vid Vault views/comments, can I offer this link (http://millylicious.livejournal.com/267633.html) instead for "Counting Bodies"? (it has a download link as well)

I echo obessive24 and sockkpppet's and halcyon shift's vids above

Us is well recognized http://mediacommons.futureofthebook.org/imr/2008/02/01/us-a-multivid-by-lim

Hmmm... just thought I'd point out that most of the AMVs you've picked are better known for their technical achievements - Engel's lipsynching, Euphoria's and Spoil's effects, and so on. What's your criteria for excellent here?

[identity profile] 0mindthegap0.livejournal.com 2009-09-01 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Some have already been mentioned around here, but also:

Can Delight (http://community.livejournal.com/vidding/1984442.html)
I Want You (She's So Heavy) (http://kiki-miserychic.livejournal.com/126673.html)
Filthy Mind (http://sol-se.livejournal.com/105057.html)
The Tree (http://newkidfan.livejournal.com/163585.html)
Papa Don't Preach (http://fan-eunice.livejournal.com/87862.html)
Tear You Apart (http://bradcpu.livejournal.com/62250.html)
Chasing Arizona (http://wistful-fever.livejournal.com/195235.html)
Real Slim Shady (http://giandujakiss.livejournal.com/297668.html)
Piece of Me (http://obsessive24.livejournal.com/211009.html)
Signed, the Doctor (http://community.livejournal.com/sync_slaying/12545.html)

The ones that tend to stay with me the most are usually quite innovative and really take the source in a new direction, but it's really one of those extremely subjective things. *shrug*
