Any new and exciting solutions for MKV to AVI with lossless codec?

Just reading this thread and wondering if any new utilities or techniques have shown up. I'd like to make clips for use in Premiere Pro CS4 with as little degradation AND as little hassle as possible.

Will it convert to Huffy? I'd rather avoid double encouding if possible.
