Question: Audio in virtualdub

Hey everyone,

I tried to make shorter clips from an avi file with virtualdub, but everytime I do the audio is completely off. I'm talking several seconds... Does anyone know how I could do it? It doesn't necessarily be with virtualdub if there are easier methods, but I'd like to embed some small scenes with audio in my vid.

I looked in the memories, but I could only find tutorials, where the audio is turned off...

Thanks in advance.

I used a full audio/video clip when I made Something to Talk About and I had to manually move the audio over to line it up with the video. If there's a better way, I'd love to hear about it, too!

Try saving the audio as a WAV file and importing it seperately to the video clip.

To do that, you just pick out the section of the video you're after and then go to file -> save as WAV (I think that's what it's called). Then when you save the video, save it without audio (select the 'no audio' option). Import both files into your program, align them on your timeline and you should be okay.

Hope this helps!
