2007 MEDIAWEST*CON PLAYLIST

The following playlist is in alphabetical order by production group, first for GEN vids then for SLASH. As a reminder for those unfamiliar with how the MWC show is run...it is a competition, in a variety of categories. Producers submit their vids in the following categories:

Humorous
Song Interpretation - Single Fandom
Song Interpretation - Multiple Fandoms
Constructed Reality - Attempts to tell a completely different story using existing footage, often in the form of crossing over two shows/films
Original - (high percentage of footage is camcorder or non-professional)
Credits - original credits for the production group/individual

MWC also runs categories for Flyers and DVD or Video Boxes, but I won't try to list those here.

I'll save any comments and make them as replies to this list, except to say it was a fairly good year for vids at MWC this past weekend. Perhaps a bit of overkill on SUPERNATURAL, with 16 of the 52 GEN vids being SPN, but otherwise a nice mix of single-fandoms, multis and humorous. I was a bit disappointed to see no-one attempt a Constructed Reality vid, but was pleased with the reactions from people to my own first attempt at an "Original"-category vid.

And in answer to the inevitable question -- "No...a vid show tape/disc was not made. You have to contact the separate vid groups or individuals to see about getting copies of any of these." I'd rather just get the general information out immediately than take the time to try to put together a list with links to all the producers who are actually on-line.
