I use AnyDVD to decrypt the discs, and after that any video cutter/ripper that suits my needs (Like mpeg2cut to rip uncompressed fragments or Handbrake if I want to compress them.) AnyDVD is paid software with 30 days free trial. Once you install and run it, it automatically decrypts any DVD you insert, so you can use it like it's not encrypted. Not sure how it handles the most recent encryption algorithms, as my source discs tend to be pretty old. But as it has free trial, you can check it yourself.
