My Virgin Vid

Yes, boys and girls, I've finished my very first vid! A short little ditty called Best Friends.

Askewniverse - Jay & Silent Bob.

RealMedia, 7.2Mb. Considering every single clip was pulled from DVD, I'm very unhappy with the quality of the .rm file. Any tips for exporting to RealMedia?

This is also a blatant plea for critique.

I don't know what you're using to encode the video to .rm, but I like old RealProducer encoded to sharp video for a single-rate stream for 256KB. (Doesn't matter whether or not your audience uses DSL, because they're downloading, not streaming). It seems to deliver much cleaner files, at a nice file size to quality ratio. Don't touch Helix or any of the video creation program plug-ins. They're clunky and inefficient (IMO). You can still pick up RealProducer on Kazaa Lite, and possibly on Real's website if you dig around via the search engines (it probably won't be linked from anywhere on the main Real pages).
