Hey folks,

First, thanks to those that reccomended Sony Vegas Platinum 11; I'm a big fan! On the trial at the moment, but definately gonna spring for the full program. Love the load to youtube feature!!

Secondly, I finished my first vid! I'm pretty happy with it, and I'd love concrit and feedback. It's from Hawaii 5-0 and my GOD those boys do a lot of talking so it was hard to avoid talky-faces, but I think I did it! Please check it out :)

DVD Ripping: X-Men

I am having a heck of a time trying to get two specific clips from the X-Men DVD (the first one, not X-Men 1.5): The scene where Jean and Xavier are talking about Logan and the scene where Jean and Xavier are talking in Cerebro.

I've tried to use two separate DVD ripper software and cannot seem to find the clip that way. Is it hidden somehow? I've gone through what comes up on the DVD ripping software as 'rippable' line by line but I can't seem to find it.

I've tried to directly record it off the screen but when it put it in Vegas it reaaaally doesn't like that.

Any suggestions? Or if its possible for someone to rip them and send them to me I would be eternally grateful.

I came across a vidding term on Fanlore and thought it might be helpful if other vidders chimed in on what "song choice" means to them. I also wonder what other vidding terms need to be explained.

In terms of vidding on Fanlore, some terms have been documented, there are a few general entries on vidding, and info about Vividcon and a few other vid shows.  However, a lot more can (and should be added).

For example, anyone can make a page about  a vid they liked or one that moved them.  You don't have to be the - or even a - vidder.

And then it occurred to me there are other vidding communities, forums and cultures and.....well let's just say, vidding it all its infinite glory deserves to be Fanlored.
