How do I transfer movies from my video camcorder onto my computer?

Hi, I'm new here. I was looking for a community where I could ask this question. I use Windows Movie Maker, it's the only thing I have. Does anyone know how I could make a clip move in slow-motion? I have a short clip I want to make longer by slowing it down. If anyone could help, I'd be very thankful!

DVD2AVI Problems

I've just started using DVD2AVI, but either I am doing something wrong, or something is missing from my computer.

I've tried ripping my DVD using both DVD Decrypter and SmartRipper, but the same thing happens with both.

After I run DVD2AVI I come up with some problems and the file doesn't work.

This is all I get the entire length of the clip.

Could anybody please help me if you know what's wrong.
